Locations of Software on campus

Encore is available in the Music Resource Center and in the Music Hall classroom 103.

Licensing Background:

Carleton purchases Encore 5 on a per-seat basis, therefore any additional licenses must be purchased separately.
Per seat licensed software is licensed individually for each installation.  It is software that is purchased on a per unit basis, where the unit has to do with the installation and not the usage.  An installation may correspond to a specific person, computer or operating system. Faculty who have Encore on their office computer can also install it on their home computer.

Installation Instructions

For college owned equipment IT staff should reference the Encore 5 - Restricted page 

Personal Machines

    • Visit the GVOX downloads page to access the Encore 5 demo.
      • You will be asked to fill out a form requesting the demo.
      • You will receive an email with a download link and instructions. 
    • Download an install Encore 5.
    • Contact the ITS Helpdesk at x 5999, or your AT, to request a serial number.
    • Launch Encore on your computer.
    • From the Encore menu, select About Encore
    • Enter the serial number you received and click submit
